Vidax in your AI assistant

Make a Vidax video from Muse, ChatGPT or Claude, step by step, with the same controls as the studio. Includes the technical reference for the connector.

What it does

Connect Vidax to your assistant and ask for a video in plain words. Vidax researches the topic, writes the script, and produces a finished, narrated documentary-style video from real footage, real sources and on-screen evidence. Videos run from 1 to 20 minutes in three storytelling styles.

You stay in charge at every step. The assistant shows you the script, the narrators, the looks, the thumbnails and the exact cost, and nothing is produced until you say yes.

Connect

  1. In Muse, ChatGPT or Claude, open the connector directory and add Vidax. If your assistant asks for a server address, it is https://vidax.ai/api/mcp.
  2. You are sent to vidax.ai. Sign in, or create an account with your email or Google.
  3. Press Approve. You return to your assistant, connected.

In Claude

Vidax is added to Claude as a custom connector. It works on claude.ai and in the Claude desktop and mobile apps.

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Vidax and paste the server address https://vidax.ai/api/mcp. Leave the advanced fields empty and press Add.
  3. Press Connect next to Vidax. You are sent to vidax.ai: sign in or create an account, then press Approve.
  4. In a chat, open the tools menu, make sure Vidax is switched on, and ask for a video.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector once in the organization's settings, and each member then presses Connect.

In ChatGPT

Open Settings → Apps & Connectors, find Vidax (or, with developer mode on, create a connector with the server address above), and press Connect.

Writing the script, hearing the narrators, choosing the look and picking a thumbnail cost nothing. Producing the film takes minutes from your Vidax plan. When a launch promotion is on, a first connection from an assistant adds free minutes of video, once — the approval page says so when it applies.

Things to ask

  • "Make a 5-minute documentary about how Northvolt burned through 13 billion euros"
  • "Create a 3-minute Fireship-style explainer on why every AI startup is secretly a wrapper"
  • "Turn today's Salesforce and Anthropic news into a 1-minute video"
  • "Show me the script before you make it, and let me pick the narrator"
  • "How is my video going?"
  • "How many minutes do I have left?"

The five steps

Every video goes through the same five steps as in the studio. The order is enforced by Vidax, not by the assistant, so a step can never be skipped.

StepWhat happensWhat you decide
1. ScriptThe topic is researched and the script is written in one to two minutes.Read it. Ask for changes as often as you like. Approve it.
2. NarratorYou get a list of voices, each with a listen link.Pick one, search for another, or keep the style's own narrator.
3. LookThe styles for on-screen names, figures and key phrases.Pick one, or keep the style's own.
4. ThumbnailSix thumbnail concepts designed from your script.Pick one, or skip and a frame of the film is used.
5. ProduceYou see the length, narrator, look, the cost in minutes, and your balance before and after.Confirm. Only then does production start.

Production takes 10 to 25 minutes. You can close the chat and come back; ask "how is my video going?" at any time. When the film is ready you get a link to watch it, download it, edit its scenes or publish it to YouTube from vidax.ai.

Minutes and cost

A video costs its length in minutes: a 5-minute video uses 5 minutes of your balance. Minutes are deducted when production starts, after you confirm, and are not refundable once it has started. Nothing is ever charged inside the assistant. When your minutes run out, plans and top-ups are at vidax.ai/pricing.

What the assistant can and cannot do

It canIt cannot
Write scripts and produce videos on your accountSee or change your billing or payment details
See your projects and their statusSee your password or sign in as you elsewhere
See how many minutes you have leftSpend minutes without your confirmation at step 5

Disconnect at any time from your assistant's connector settings. Your videos stay in your Vidax account.

Your data

Vidax stores what it needs to make your videos: your account email, the topics and instructions you give, the scripts, and the finished videos. Videos are private unless you share them. The assistant receives only the results of the steps above. The full policy is at vidax.ai/privacy, the terms at vidax.ai/terms. To delete your account and its videos, write to [email protected].

Tools

Fourteen tools. Every tool declares whether it only reads, and none is destructive. Tools that move a video forward refuse to run before the step ahead of them is complete.

Access requirements

A Vidax account, which is free to create during the connection. The steps before production are free; producing a film needs a plan or a top-up (or free minutes, when a launch promotion is on). No regional restriction. Video length is 1 to 20 minutes, limited by the minutes on the account. A script takes one to two minutes, a production 10 to 25 minutes, and both run in the background while the user keeps chatting.

Testing the connector

  1. Connect and approve with any email or Google account.
  2. Ask: "Make a 1-minute Fireship-style video about why the sky is blue."
  3. Approve the script, keep the default narrator and look, skip the thumbnail, read the quote, confirm.
  4. Ask "how is my video going?" until it answers with the watch link.
