Before you begin

1. Describe the video
Open the studio and type what you want. Be specific:
A 5-minute documentary on how DNA genealogy caught the Golden State Killer — the 1970s attacks, the cold decades, the GEDmatch match in 2018, and the arrest.
Under the box, set length, format, tone and depth. If your prompt already names a length, the length chip follows it.
New to it? Click a niche tile under Start from a niche. It writes a full example prompt into the box, and clicking the same tile again cycles through more examples.
2. Approve the script
The script streams in as it is written. Read it, edit any line, and watch the estimated runtime against the length you ordered.
This is the most valuable minute you will spend on the video. Everything downstream — the footage, the pacing, the narration — follows this text.

3. Check the brief
A one-screen plan: the runtime range, the scene count, the estimated credits and how many live sources the run will use. Nothing is editable here; it is a checkpoint before you commit.
4. Pick a narrator
Around seventy voices in the built-in set, plus a searchable library of over 100,000. Filter by gender, accent, tone and age, press play to hear any of them, and star the ones you like so they are one click away next time.
5. Pick the look
Two choices: the video style, which is the whole visual grammar, and the caption style, which is the typography. The caption style is preselected to match, and you can mix any face with any grammar.
You can also drop in your own background images and an accent palette here.
6. Pick a thumbnail
Six concepts are designed from your script. Pick one, paste a YouTube link to remix another video's composition for your topic, or skip and a frame from the video becomes the poster.
7. Produce
The last screen shows the effort tier and its credit estimate. Confirm, and production starts.
